THE FLASHLIGHT FILES
PART THREE
FROM FRIGHT TO BRIGHT

Fred Glowberg. Chief Custodian at the Night Light Motel. Nickname: Fearful Fred. Why? Because he's afraid of just about everything. Even the SFFFST of his own spray bottle. We stopped Fred one morning, pushing his cleaning cart along the walkways, about reach for a can of Cleen-A-Reeno Goo Be Gone, to clean smooshed pizza from the carpet of the lobby.

BR: Mr. Glowberg, Mr. Glowberg!

FG: AHHHH! AHHHHHHHHH! Oh, it's you Bongo Todd.

BR: Bongo Rod, Mr. Glowberg.

FG: Call me Fred. If you want to. Well, if you don't want to, you don't have to. I'm afraid--

BR: Fred, you seem a little jumpy. Is everything alright?

FG: Well, sort of, mostly. Um. Ever since that time when I was a kid, you know, younger, and I got locked in my closet, with only a flashlight. Well, I thought I was locked in, the knob was just stuck, and my mom was in the next room.

BR: That's when you were first afraid?

FG: Oh, I've been afraid since then, too. But that's when I started my flashlight collection, and then, much later, when Professor Luminous wanted to call me LumaMan, well, I said OK but don't call me LumaMan, I'll be Captain FlashLight. But don't tell that to anyone, it's top secret, Bingo Rod.

BR: Bongo Rod, actually, but that's OK. What about the Captain's flashlights, Fred, can you tell me about them? I've heard they're Lumatronic, charged with incredible power.

FG: They're lightastic! Here's the list, you can have it. I'm afraid I've got to go now, Rongo Bob, bye!!!

BR: Bye, Fred. Let's check out the list.

FLASHLIGHT #1: Protecto-Light
Shoots a powerful shine-shield, that wraps around and encloses the target, protecting them from danger. It's kinda loud, though.

FLASHLIGHT #2: Rocket-Light
This one fires a condensed beam of LumaLight. It's like holding a mini-rocket in your hand. Hold on and you're gone.

FLASHLIGHT #3: Magnet-Light
Like a regular magnet, only 100 times more powerful. Aim. Shoot. And what you hit is now zooming toward you!

FLASHLIGHT #4: Multi-Laser-Light
Adjustable laser beam, sharpens to cutting point, widens to make a pathway, stretches out to travel long distances. Amazing what LumaLight can do!

FLASHLIGHT #5: Lasso-Light
That's right pardner, this here Lasso-Light is like havin' a rope made out of solid light. Boy howdy!

FLASHLIGHT #6: Sparkle-Light
Hmm. This one is wacky. Press the button, and a little waterfall of light gushes out, like fireworks. What would you ever use that for?

FLASHLIGHT #7: The LumaLight
This one is best summed up in three words: one big flash! ZA-BOOM!

THE DARKNESS FILES
PART THREE
FOURTH SEASON BRINGS NEW VILLAINS!

"Bad batteries!" shouts Captain FlashLight. He already faces Low Voltage and Bulbus, Dark Spark and PlugFace, Louie Dah Lampshade, Captain CrashDark, and others, but now... NOW... even more villains are released into the city. "Not brilliant," says Professor Luminous. "Bark!" barks Blinkie.

The Lightning Bolt Brothers Lenny and Leonardo Lighting are there, standing on a building, blasting the streets of the city with high-power lightning bolts. ZA-BLAMMO!

Speed of Darkness can run at speeds of over 2,000 miles per hour. "Now that's really fast" says our hero, "hope he doesn't slip on a banana peel."

Plug Bugs are small, sneaky, creepy electromagnetic insects that crawl out of electical outlets. Wierd. ElectromagneTron must be in on this one. "Oh, yesssss" he whispers.

El Darko has arrived, on his faithful steed, Magnesia, and he's going to, what? Offer Spindel Nibblett one of his El Darko Bars? Don't nibble it, Mrs. Nibblett!

Bulbus The Brain says stuff like "I believe the enriched nutritional and fizziological content of the pizza ingredients has dramatically multiplied the intelligence of my computational skills." "That can't be my Bulbus!" says Low Voltage.

Bigg Wiggs could only be the work of Neonikka Electronikka, Filament City's most fashionable villain.
